10 Kim Probably not the cheapest but if you want fast reliable internet and support someone who speaks English legibly and has some technical skills (as opposed to a call centre offshore and someone reading from a book of canned solutions) then its worth paying a little more. I dont remember ever having to sit on hold for support (or get driven nuts by one of those stupid "tell us what you want" menus that doesnt understand a single word in the english language either :) 14 November 2012

11 Caitlin Went with this ISP after reading these reviews and I'm so glad I did. Initially tried to go with Orcon because of some crazy cheap deal they had on, but after getting bored waiting 2 weeks in an internet-less flat and hearing nothing back I cancelled and tried these guys. Connected in three days, help desk is in New Zealand and everyone was super friendly. Can't complain! 19 October 2013

14 lance Had nothing but trouble , signed up two months ago to get ultra fast bb, old provider cut there services on agreeed date but because a problem with power pole usage had to cancel installation.took two weeks for actrix to set up temporary service, still no sign off getting hooked up with ultra fast witch is the main reason we decided to change . Problems with phoneline dropping out after 15 minutes . Cant call cell phones. And a early cancelation fee that we got stung with that they asured us that it was sweet. 4 August 2014

16 Chaosinflesh Reading some of these reviews, I can't help but think some people are trolling - particularly the guy complaining about lack of English - I suspect he got Actrix confused with Vodafone support. I have been an Actrix customer for ~4 years now, and during that time their support has been nothing but superb. Every tech I have spoken to had excellent communication skills, and knew what they were talking about when it came to problem solving. And I'm not your average home user - I'm a post-graduate CS with several years of tech industry experience, and run my own custom router and servers. 16 April 2015

17 Brad Cooper Great and prompt service, good performance. Notice a couple of comments from people about UFB install delays. The ISP just repurchases the Fibre loop to your house from the local fibre company, in my case Chorus. They have no control over they install timing. 29 April 2015

21 Claire Bee Since everything is automated with them, they should give you a 48 hour warning if they are going to cut off your service. They billed me on May 6 for May 1 to May 31, payment is due on May 20. They cut off my service at about 4:00 pm on May 20 because I hadn't paid my bill that was due on May 20. 20 May 2015

35 Graham, H I have been with Actrix for many years their support service is excellent. They have spent a lot of time sorting out my stuff ups when I first purchased a computer, nothing was too much trouble. I did have some issues after getting UFB but that was beyond their control. Getting to talk to a human being is one of the features I like and being able to understand them is another advantage. I'm a real happy chappy and have no intentions of changing. 14 April 2017
